AP United States History is equivalent to an introductory college course in U.S. history. Studies cover a range of topics from Pre-Columbian societies to today. The course has been authorized by the College Board and meets all requirements established by that organization. The course is designed to provide students with the analytic skills and factual knowledge necessary to deal critically with the problems and materials in U.S. history. Students are encouraged to take the AP United States History Exam in order to earn college credit.
